We provide a Community Bike Shop [501(c)(3) - EIN: 83-0440046 founded in 2005] that educates, encourages, and empowers a vibrant and inclusive cycling community through learning from educational do-it-yourself shop openings where people learn to build, maintain, and embrace the fun of bicycles. We currently have no paid staff, and are completely run by volunteers from the community. We are known well for our generosity, sometimes giving large number of bikes to other communities experiencing despair, helping people whose main form of transportation is by bike, and transforming people's lives by introducing or re-introducing them to the health benefits that come from biking. Anyone can earn a bike in our shop through volunteering.
