Keswick Cycle opened its doors for business in 1933 as Glenside's neighborhood bike shop. Bicycles were still a fledgling market then, and bike sales and service were being supplemented with everything from lawnmower work to model train sales, transforming it into a bike and hobby shop. As specialization in the industry increased, bicycles once again became the primary focus, and Keswick's partnership with Schwinn Bicycles (one of the first in the country) made the store a nationally known name in the industry.
